Performance Technology Solutions offers a full range of services for your new or existing UPS and battery systems at affordable prices to keep your systems running properly and protecting your critical infrastructures from downtime. Our factory trained, certified technicians will conduct a number of important checks and verifications to help extend the life of your equipment. With regular quarterly, semi-annual or annual preventative service maintenance programs you can be assured your investment in your UPS and battery systems are being well taken care of.
UPS Preventative Maintenance
Annual Service for UPS Systems (Gold Plan)
Perform complete visual inspection including but not limited to:
- Internal sub-assemblies, wiring harnesses, contactors and cables
- Air filters
- Rectifier and inverter snubber circuit board
- Capacitors inspection (replacement not covered)
- Fans
- Check temperature on all breakers, connections and associate controls
- Review alarm history and verify remote status panel operator
- Record all meter readings including:
- Phase-to-phase input
- Phase-to-phase output
- Bypass voltages and currents
- Battery voltages and currents
- Check all contacts to ensure secure connections
- Verify all connections show no signs of discoloration
- Check fuses on the DC capacitor desk for continuity as applicable
- Clean interior and exterior of unit
- Perform functional test of the system with customer approval
- Measure & Calibrate, as necessary, where possible, all electronics to system specifications
Notes on service:
- Preventative maintenance may require placing UPS into maintenance bypass
- Not all checks are applicable to all UPS types
VRLA Battery Systems Preventative Maintenance
Service for VRLA Battery Systems (Gold Plan)
Perform complete visual inspection of:
- Jar and cover for signs of leakage
- Corrosion on terminal post and connector
- General appearance and cleanliness of battery room and batteries
- Measure & Record:
- Each cell terminal voltage (DC and AC)
- Overall system DC voltage and current levels
- Ambient room temperature
- Temperature of all negative posts
- AC ripple voltage and current
- VDC and VAC of jar/cell
- Battery replacement not covered under contract
